Driving Digital Transformation: Sploro’s Role in PQ-NEXT, SCALE SEE, and European Innovation Events
November was a milestone month for Sploro, packed with new beginnings, impactful events, and strategic collaborations across the European innovation landscape. From launching a new Horizon Europe project to presenting at leading industry summits, our team has been at the heart of the action—building connections, closing projects, and driving digital transformation.
Below you’ll find the key highlights of our activities in November, featuring the voices of our project managers and experts.
PQ-NEXT: Kicking Off a New Era in Post-Quantum Security (1 November)
We’re excited to announce the official launch of PQ-NEXT (Post-Quantum Networks for Energy-eXfficient Transitions), a Horizon Europe project that aims to ensure a smooth, secure migration to the post-quantum cryptography era. The kick-off brought together 17 leading partners from across Europe, uniting efforts to safeguard the continent’s digital future.
Sploro is leading the exploitation activities within the project’s communication work package, focusing on maximising impact and sharing knowledge beyond the consortium.
“Being part of PQ-NEXT means contributing directly to Europe’s resilience in a post-quantum world. Our role is to make sure the project’s innovations reach the right audiences, turning research into real-world impact..”
Lisbon Beyond Summit, held alongside the Web Summit, brought together innovators, investors, and digital leaders from across Europe. Our Project Manager, Ecem Özdemir, delivered a high-impact pitch presenting Sploro’s activities, core services, and current open calls—spotlighting Open Horizons and PHOTONQBOOST.
"Standing on stage among Europe’s top startups was a unique opportunity to showcase how Sploro supports innovation, from open calls to project execution. The connections made here will drive our ecosystem forward".
Horizon 4 Poland: Raising Awareness for Horizon Europe (18 November)
At this year’s Horizon4Europe event in Warsaw, Sploro worked to strengthen its presence within the Central and Eastern European (CEE) innovation ecosystem. Our Project Manager, Gosia Olszewska, engaged with over 500 stakeholders to raise awareness about Sploro and our contributions to Horizon Europe.
“It’s essential that we connect with new partners and highlight the opportunities that Horizon Europe brings. Poland and the wider CEE region have huge potential, and Sploro is here to support and collaborate.”
NGI Sargasso: Final Consortium Meeting in Alicante (19-20 November)
November saw the final consortium meeting of NGI Sargasso in Alicante—a key moment to review achievements and set the stage for project closure. Our Project Manager, Marta Fernandez, helped ensure all partners were aligned and that the project’s impact would continue beyond its official end.
“It’s essential that we connect with new partners and highlight the opportunities that Horizon Europe brings. Poland and the wider CEE region have huge potential, and Sploro is here to support and collaborate.”
SCALE SEE 2025: Building Digital Capacity in Southeast Europe (19 November)
SCALE SEE 2025 focused on strengthening the digital capacity of Southeast European SMEs. Liliya Foteva, Innovation Consultant at Sploro, shared insights from our work in EU-funded projects, highlighting the importance of starting with clear use cases, measurable KPIs, and leveraging cascade funding as a strategic stepping stone.
“SMEs need to begin their EU funding journey with realistic, impactful use cases. Cascade funding is an excellent way to gain experience and credibility, paving the way to larger projects in the future.”
Liliya’s session also contributed to the SCALE SEE white paper, which summarises challenges and best practices for SMEs in accessing European funding and driving digital transformation.
Looking Ahead
November demonstrated Sploro’s commitment to building stronger innovation communities, sharing knowledge, and supporting the next wave of European projects. As we look ahead, we remain dedicated to empowering partners and fostering digital growth across the continent.
