The wait is nearly over. In just a few days, Cádiz will become the epicentre of innovation in southern Europe as South Impact 2025 opens its doors. From 4 to 6 November, the city will host entrepreneurs, investors, and changemakers from across Spain and beyond, all united by a single idea: innovation is thriving in the south, and it is time for Europe to take notice.
At Sploro, we are proud to join this movement as official media partners, amplifying the stories and ambitions of those shaping the future from the southern edge of the continent.
In recent years, the south of Spain has quietly been building a dynamic ecosystem of startups, research centres, and impact-driven projects. The region combines creativity with a strong sense of community and it is beginning to gain the recognition it deserves. South Impact 2025 celebrates that momentum, creating a space where innovators can meet, exchange, and accelerate their growth.
This year’s programme promises an exciting mix of discussions, networking sessions, and showcases designed to connect local talent with national and European stakeholders. By focusing on collaboration rather than competition, South Impact highlights how smaller innovation hubs can contribute meaningfully to Europe’s collective progress.
Our team will be on the ground in Cádiz, bringing the event to life through Efecto Cascada, Sploro’s podcast dedicated to exploring innovation and funding opportunities across Europe. Hosted by Paula Ostiz, the podcast will record live from the venue, sharing insights and stories directly from founders, investors, and changemakers attending the event. Episodes will be available in both English and Spanish, reflecting the international spirit of South Impact.
Meanwhile, Marcos Sacristán, our Business Developer, will connect with startups and SMEs looking to grow their projects through EU funding. Many founders are unaware of the range of equity-free opportunities available across sectors, and through our Cascade Funding Hub, Marcos will guide participants on how to identify and apply for these calls. The goal is to make European support mechanisms clearer, simpler, and more effective for innovators working on the ground.
One of the key features of South Impact 2025 is the Impact Showcase, where more than 30 projects from southern Spain, Melilla, and the Canary Islands will be presented. This initiative highlights local innovation with global potential from sustainable technologies and digital solutions to social enterprises addressing real-world challenges.
Beyond visibility, the Showcase offers training sessions and financial awards to help these projects grow. It is both a platform for recognition and a stepping stone towards new collaborations, investment, and growth.
Events like South Impact are vital in building a more inclusive European innovation ecosystem. They demonstrate that high-impact ideas can emerge from any region, not only from major capitals. By supporting and connecting these ecosystems, Europe can unlock a broader range of perspectives, talent, and solutions.
For Sploro, this partnership goes beyond media coverage. It is a chance to contribute to a conversation about accessibility and equity in innovation themes that sit at the core of our work. Through our presence in Cádiz, we aim to highlight not only the projects but also the people behind them: founders turning challenges into opportunities and communities driving change from the ground up.
The south is ready to make its voice heard, and Cádiz is the perfect stage. As South Impact 2025 approaches, the excitement is palpable a sense that this is more than a gathering; it’s the beginning of a movement that connects local impact with European reach.
We look forward to meeting innovators, listening to their stories, and sharing their journeys with a wider audience. Join us from 4 to 6 November in Cádiz, and be part of the story redefining how and where innovation happens in Europe.
