Every October, Salamanca becomes the stage for one of Europe’s most vibrant gatherings of innovators and Startup OLÉ 2025 (15–17 October) once again proved why it’s a must-attend event for the tech and entrepreneurship ecosystem.
Over three inspiring days, thousands of founders, investors, corporates, and public institutions converged at the Palacio de Congresos, transforming the city into a living hub of collaboration. From pitch battles and one-to-one meetings to high-level panels and workshops, the energy was electric a true celebration of European innovation.
This year, Sploro joined the conversation with a clear mission: to help startups turn ideas into impact through access to equity free EU funding.
Our CEO, Miguel García González, opened our participation with the Reverse Pitch, introducing Sploro’s work in empowering deep tech innovators through cascadefunding.eu. He later joined the panel “Strategic Allies: The Role of Providers in Scaling Startups,” moderated by Eva Lorente (Futuro Perfecto) and co-organised with INCIBE Emprende, alongside Alina Yaniz (Invisible Dots Legal PA) a lively discussion on how collaboration strengthens Europe’s startup ecosystem.
Meanwhile, our Startup Portfolio and Partnership Manager Timi Graubina hosted “Inside Cascade Funding: Real Stories from Real Startups,” a session featuring founders Irina Moreira (PURR.AI), Daniela Marques (Complear), and Miryam Adni (Wasit). They shared their experiences of winning cascade funding and how it fuelled their growth — powerful stories that highlight what EU support can achieve when paired with passion and purpose.

Beyond the stages and panels, Startup OLÉ was about connection those spontaneous moments where conversations spark new ideas and partnerships take root. Throughout the event, our team met innovators, investors, and ecosystem builders from across Europe and the US, all united by a shared belief in the power of collaboration.
And to top it all off, a breathtaking helicopter ride over Salamanca reminded us that innovation is also about perspective daring to see the world from new heights.
