As Lisbon prepares to host Web Summit 2024 from November 11th to 14th, Sploro is excited to announce our participation in this premier global technology conference. Representing Sploro at Web Summit 2024 is our esteemed colleague, Maja Horvat. With a wealth of experience in innovation services and a deep understanding of funding mechanisms, Maja is keen to connect with European deep tech startups seeking funding opportunities. Maja is actively involved in the EmpoWomen initiative, a two-year program (2024-2025) funded by the European Union through its Horizon Europe Research and Innovation program. EmpoWomen aims to tackle the underrepresentation of women in the deep-tech sector, particularly in emerging European countries. The program offers a unique acceleration and mentoring experience, including non-repayable funding totaling €1.125 million, prizes, and services to 25 women-led deep-tech companies selected through a competitive process. The second Open Call is now open until December 2, 2024. Don’t miss your chance to apply!
Additionally, Maja can provide insights into the Women TechEU initiative, an EU-funded project supporting women leading deep-tech startup companies from Europe. The mission of Women TechEU is to create a more gender-balanced entrepreneurship ecosystem by offering €75,000 grants (non-dilutive finance) and personalized business development programs, including mentoring, coaching, and targeted training. The project plans to launch four calls for applications over two years, aiming to support a total of 160 beneficiaries.
