Highlighting the impact of Cascade Funding and supporting over 200 startups across Europe.
Sploro participated in the official launch event of Startup Olé 2026, held at the historic La Bolsa de Madrid, reinforcing its commitment to strengthening Europe’s entrepreneurial ecosystem and supporting startup growth through accessible funding mechanisms.
The event marked the beginning of a new edition of Startup Olé, a leading international platform connecting startups, investors, corporates and public institutions. The community continues to expand globally, with three in-person events already confirmed in Miami, Marbella and Salamanca, consolidating its international footprint.
At the Heart of the Entrepreneurial Ecosystem
During the launch event, Miguel García, CEO of Sploro, took part in Roundtable No. 5:
“Connections That Transform: The Engine of the Entrepreneurial Ecosystem”
He shared the stage with:
Ángeles Durán, from Cruz Roja Española
Andrés Dulanto Scott, Editor-in-Chief at Agencia EFE
Javier González Báez, CEO of Letsinnovate (Grupo LETS)
Juan Carlos Sanchis, Chapter President of Keiretsu Forum
The session explored how strategic connections — between startups, investors, media, corporates and public institutions — are the true drivers of sustainable innovation.
One message stood out clearly: ecosystems thrive when funding and opportunity are accessible.
Europe Is Not as Far as It Seems
During the discussion, Miguel delivered a key message to the startup community:
“We want to encourage the entrepreneurial ecosystem and everyone working closely with startups. We want to show them that Europe is not as distant as it may seem, and that European funds are far more accessible and attainable than most of us believe.”
This vision is backed by results.
Sploro has managed multiple Cascade Funding programmes under Horizon Europe, building a strong portfolio of impact:
200+ startups supported across Europe
More than €20 million distributed in public funding
Cascade Funding has become one of the most agile mechanisms within Horizon Europe to support startups and SMEs. By simplifying administrative processes and accelerating grant allocation, it enables early-stage companies to validate technology, scale innovation, enter new markets and strengthen their competitiveness. At Sploro, we go beyond programme management, acting as a strategic connector within the innovation ecosystem to ensure funding opportunities translate into real, measurable growth for startups.
Strengthening Europe’s Innovation Future
Startup Olé 2026 marks another step forward in building a more connected and international startup ecosystem.
With confirmed events in Miami, Marbella and Salamanca, the platform continues to foster cross-border collaboration and investment opportunities.
Sploro’s participation reinforces our mission:
Increase awareness of European funding opportunities
Simplify access to Cascade Funding
Empower startups with practical guidance
Position Europe as an achievable growth pathway
Because innovation should not be limited by perceived complexity. And European funding should feel within reach.
