Sploro, the Navarre-based company specialized in managing R&D&I funds, is making a bold statement at SLUSH Helsinki 2024, the world’s leading technology event to be held on November 20 and 21 in the Finnish capital. In this edition, the company, as coordinator of the European programme Empowomen, will highlight its commitment to innovation and the inclusion of women entrepreneurs in deep tech, announcing millions of euros in equity-free grants for European startups through projects in which it participates.
At SLUSH, Sploro will take center stage with its Cascade Funding Hub, a platform that connects entrepreneurs and SMEs with European funding through cascade funding. The company will offer an in-depth view of how startups can access financial resources to drive innovation in sectors such as deep tech, agritech, ICT, robotics, circular economy and beyond, with the aim of accelerating digital and technological transformation. With extensive experience in managing European funds, Sploro leads the sector with a comprehensive approach to digitalization and sustainability.
As the coordinator of the Empowomen programme, Sploro will host the Demo Day on November 19, as part of SLUSH. This event will provide deep tech women entrepreneurs with the opportunity to showcase their innovations to a panel of investors and experts. Additionally, Empowomen has opened its Open Call 2 (closing on December 2, 2024), with a total of €45,000 in equity-free funding per startup as well as a unique chance to access €15,000 in prizes for Demo Day winners. In total, the project will distribute €1,125,000 across two calls, fostering the growth of women entrepreneurs in the tech sector.
As part of its participation at SLUSH, Sploro will record episodes of its popular podcast Efecto Cascada, which delves into topics like innovation, cascade funding, and the intersection of technology and art.
