November was a milestone month for Sploro, packed with new beginnings, impactful events, and strategic collaborations across the European innovation landscape. From launching a new Horizon Europe project to presenting at leading industry summits, our team has been at the heart of the action—building connections, closing projects, and driving digital transformation.
Below you’ll find the key highlights of our activities in November, featuring the voices of our project managers and experts.
PQ-NEXT: Ambitious Beginnings
19–20 January | Madrid, Spain
Sploro’s EU Projects Area Manager, Virginia Gómez, and Project Manager, Marta Fernández, joined partners in Madrid for the official PQ-NEXTKick-off Meeting. This landmark event brought together top experts and stakeholders with a shared goal: to drive next-generation innovation and cross-sector collaboration in Europe.
At the meeting, the consortium aligned on objectives, developed a clear work plan, and built strong foundations for effective teamwork. PQ-NEXT’s vision is ambitious, aiming to create tangible impact by connecting diverse skills, resources, and expertise from across the continent. The energy and commitment were clear from the very first session.
“I’m genuinely excited to embark on this new adventure with such a talented team. The collaboration and shared drive we witnessed at the kick-off have set the perfect tone for PQ-NEXT’s success.”
PQ-REACT: Progress and Partnership
20–21 January | Madrid, Spain
Later in January, Sploro’s Team Leader, Mikel Apesteguia, joined the 8th General Assembly of PQ-REACT. PQ-REACT continues to focus on digital innovation and resilience across Europe, and this meeting was pivotal for planning the project’s final phase.
The consortium reviewed the current status across all work packages and mapped out next steps for the final eight months. As leader of WP5: Open Call Management & Improvement of the Pilots, Sploro provided updates on pilot progress, upcoming training sessions, and preparations for the project’s Final Event. There was a strong emphasis on ensuring the solutions developed have lasting, practical impact.
“Achieving real impact in European projects depends on excellent teamwork. It’s always a pleasure to work with such motivated and professional partners—when everyone brings their best, great results naturally follow.”
APPTAKE: Real-World Innovation
28–29 January | Cagliari, Italy
Sploro’s Mikel Apesteguía and Junior Developer Aitor Uranga joined partners in Cagliari for the APPTAKE General Assembly. As End-users, Sploro is piloting the Kronis platform—allowing the consortium’s tech providers to test their cybersecurity solutions in a real-world SaaS environment.
The Sploro team presented progress on integrating new security tools and set out clear action points for the coming months, including technical sessions and proof-of-concept tests. This collaborative approach ensures the consortium’s solutions are not only innovative but truly effective in practice.
“The General Assembly allowed us to align on the final phase of the project and, as End-users, to refine how we will test and validate the consortium’s solutions in Kronis.”
