Project Overview

The Challenge: Today’s public-key cryptographic systems will become vulnerable once practical quantum computing is available, putting sensitive data, digital identities and critical infrastructures at risk through threats such as “Harvest Now, Decrypt Later” attacks.

Our Objective: To enable a seamless transition to post-quantum cryptography by developing a comprehensive framework that combines quantum-resistant algorithms, maintenance tools and advanced programming capabilities for secure, crypto-agile systems.

Innovation & Impact: PQ-NEXT combines cutting-edge post-quantum cryptography, quantum programming and large-scale validation to accelerate Europe’s readiness for the quantum era, strengthening cybersecurity across finance, telecommunications, digital identity and critical infrastructure sectors.
