The end of a year always brings reflection and celebration. At Sploro, we’ve taken the time to gather the milestones each team member considers their most significant. From progress in European projects to the internal growth of our team, 2024 has been a year of remarkable achievements and invaluable lessons.

Under the leadership of Miguel García, Alberto Sierra, and Guillermo Ibarra, our team has expanded from 10 to 17 people this year, bringing together a diverse and talented group. Let’s dive into some of the achievements that have gone beyond our expectations.
Our first in-person event, Explorando Horizontes, marked a turning point in Sploro’s journey. It brought together experts in cascade funding, institutions like the Government of Navarra, and other key stakeholders. Additionally, from Cascade Funding to Kronis, we achieved a commercial presence in 25 countries, reaffirming our commitment to global innovation.
Marcos, our Business Developer, highlights how SploroWeek became a cornerstone for fostering team spirit, while Ignacio, Project Manager, shares how being part of Sploro has not only helped him grow professionally but also personally.
Virginia, our EU Projects Area Manager, celebrates a major milestone: establishing Sploro as a high-impact player in women-led entrepreneurship. This year, we supported 11 startups through EmpoWomen and 40 startups via Women TechEU. In total, we distributed over €12 million in innovation projects through open calls.
Marta, Project Manager, values the opportunity to collaborate with innovators from the FOODITY project. Meanwhile, David G. takes pride in refining key deliverables for FOODITY and Evolve2Care, while David R. emphasizes the challenges and rewards of driving technological transfer through ambitious European projects
At Kronis, our innovation management software, the team led by CTO Sergi and CEO Alberto, achieved remarkable advancements. Oleksii highlights the complete rebuild of the application with cutting-edge technology, significantly improving performance and user experience.
For Iván, Lead Developer, the growth in our client base has positioned Kronis as the go-to software for innovation management in Europe. Without giving away too much, we can say that Kronis is set to deliver even more disruptive solutions this 2025!
Andrea, our Finance and HR Manager, celebrates achieving autonomy in managing clients’ financial reporting. Guillermo, our R&D Consulting Director, keeps leading the strategic direction of our projects with expertise and success!
Paula, our Communications Manager, recalls her adventure as the hostess of the Efecto Cascada podcast. Through interviews with entrepreneurs and experts in fields like gaming, music, and cinema, and even traveling to Finland for face-to-face conversations, she has grown the podcast’s fan base while raising awareness about cascade funding.
She shares how proud she is of co-creating the brand-new Cascade Funding Hub with Miriam and Miguel. This platform serves as a unique resource for discovering funding opportunities, catering to a variety of stakeholders, and generating engaging content.
This year has taught us the power of collaboration and resilience. Miriam, Innovation Consultant, values how Sploro has unlocked new professional growth opportunities for her. Maja and the rest of our management team have set their intentions and executed brilliantly to expand our activities, solidifying Sploro’s role as a leader in cascading funding and European projects through events across Europe.
