FOODITY Phase Two Kick-off: A Dynamic Three-Day Meeting in Vienna

From November 26-28, the FOODITY consortium, consisting of six innovators and partners such as Sploro, met in Vienna to assess progress, foster collaboration and launch the next phase of developing impactful food solutions.

From November 26 to 28, the FOODITY consortium gathered in Vienna for a significant three-day event that marked the beginning of the second phase of the Programme. As partners of the FOODITY consortium, Sploro was thrilled to participate in this pivotal moment, represented by Marta, who travelled to Vienna to contribute to the discussions and collaborative sessions.

Vienna, during the winter season, truly felt like a winter wonderland. The city’s architecture, twinkling lights, and crisp, cold air set the perfect backdrop for this important gathering.

Day 1: Consortium Meeting

The first day was dedicated to the Consortium Meeting, where partners came together to assess the progress of ongoing tasks and share updates. The day was enriched by a series of brainstorming activities, which served to spark new ideas and approaches for the next steps in the programme. These collaborative sessions were essential for aligning teams, defining a clear roadmap for the future, and strengthening cross-partner collaboration. By the end of the day, the consortium had reaffirmed its commitment to working together towards impactful food innovation solutions.

Day 2: Kick-off Meeting for FOODITY Phase Two

The second day marked the official Kick-off Meeting for the second phase of the FOODITY programme. This event highlighted the participation of six innovators, each of whom presented their ideas and projects to the group. These presentations provided a comprehensive overview of the innovative solutions being developed, showcasing the creative and technical talent driving the FOODITY initiative forward.

Following the presentations, the innovators engaged in technical sessions with FOODITY’s technical partners. These sessions focused on clarifying the next steps for technical development, ensuring that each project is well-supported as it moves into the implementation phase. The day concluded with a delicious traditional Viennese dinner for members to get to know each other better, exchange ideas and strengthen relationships.

Day 3: Citizen Engagement Coaching

The final day of the meeting centered on a half-day Citizen Engagement Coaching session led by ZSI. This workshop focused on helping innovators define their target groups and engagement processes, emphasizing strategies to reach and connect with their ideal audience. By exploring methods for identifying the right customer profiles and refining communication strategies, the session equipped innovators with the tools needed to improve outreach and engagement. These insights are critical for ensuring that FOODITY projects effectively connect with their target audiences and drive real impact.

A Collaborative Step Forward

The three days in Vienna were a dynamic and enriching experience for all participants. The combination of progress reviews, technical deep dives, and engagement workshops provided a comprehensive foundation for the second phase of the FOODITY programme. Through collaboration and strategic alignment, the FOODITY consortium continues to move closer to its goal of fostering innovative solutions for the future of food.

At Sploro, we are proud to play a role in this transformative journey and look forward to supporting the growth and success of the FOODITY programme as it evolves. Stay tuned for more updates on our progress and the impactful projects emerging from this initiative!
