Evolve2Care at DPH25: Driving the Future of Public Health Innovation
60+ innovators reached, global pitches explored, and Evolve2Care in the spotlight at one of Europe’s leading public health events
On 24–25 July 2025, our Project Manager Ecem Özdemir represented Evolve2Care (E2C) at the International Digital Public Health Conference (DPH25) in Madeira, Portugal — a premier European platform bringing together experts from across disciplines to explore how digital innovation is reshaping public health systems.
Ecem attended a wide range of sessions, gaining valuable insights into cutting-edge developments in the field of digital public health. Key topics included:
Additionally, Ecem participated in workshops and tutorials offering hands-on experience with AI tools, data dashboards, and governance frameworks. She also explored the DPH25 Innovation Prize Competition, where startups from around the world pitched their digital health solutions, offering a global snapshot of innovation and public health priorities.

During the event, Ecem connected with over 60 innovators from the digital health and public health ecosystems, introducing them to the Evolve2Care Open Call and encouraging participation from startups, SMEs, and collaborative consortia. She also gained deeper knowledge of the Portuguese startup landscape and its engagement in European funding programmes, identifying new avenues for collaboration.
Evolve2Care (E2C) is a Horizon Europe project focused on accelerating citizen-centred innovation in public health systems. The initiative supports local and regional authorities in testing and scaling digital health solutions by leveraging Living Labs, cross-sector collaboration, and cascade funding mechanisms. E2C aims to strengthen healthcare accessibility, efficiency, and inclusion across Europe.

The E2C Open Call is currently open until 13 October 2025. This funding opportunity is designed for startups, SMEs, and innovation consortia working on digital health solutions with strong potential for real-world implementation.
Selected applicants will gain access to funding, mentorship, and the chance to test their solutions within Evolve2Care’s Living Labs network across Europe.
