For many startups, companies, universities and research teams, the answer may be yes. The harder part is knowing which opportunity fits, whether you are eligible and what to do next.

From Horizon Europe and cascade funding to programmes supporting women-led ventures and technology transfer, the European funding landscape offers many different routes. But navigating them is not always straightforward.

That is one of the conversations we are taking to Salamanca this October.

Meet us at Startup OLÉ

From 13 to 15 October, Sploro will be at Startup OLÉ 2026 in Salamanca.

You will find us on the exhibition floor throughout the event, where our team will be available to talk about your projects, funding needs and the opportunities that could make sense for your organisation.

We are also bringing our own space to the programme: the Sploro Summit, four focused sessions tackling different challenges around accessing, using and managing European funding.

The idea behind them is simple. Instead of talking about EU funding in the abstract, we want to start with questions organisations are already asking:

Where can I find the right funding? How does cascade funding actually work? What support exists for women-led innovation? How can research move closer to market? And once a project is funded, how can we make it easier to manage?

Those questions will shape four conversations across Tuesday and Wednesday.

This year also has a special meaning for us: Sploro turned five this September. And celebrating it surrounded by startups, researchers, companies and people building what comes next feels like a pretty good way to mark the occasion.

Inside the Sploro Summit

Could cascade funding finance your next step?

On Tuesday 13 October at 16:00, the Sploro Summit opens with Access to Finance and Cascade Funding, a conversation about how cascade funding — also known as Financial Support to Third Parties (FSTP) — can create opportunities for startups and other organisations to access EU funding.

We will look at how it works, where these opportunities come from and what accessing them can look like in practice.

Building a women-led venture? What funding is out there?

Later that afternoon, at 16:30, Funding Programmes for Women Investors and Founders will explore the European funding opportunities supporting women-led innovation.

The conversation will look at programmes such as Women TechEU and EmpoWomen, bringing in perspectives from people with direct experience of them.

Great research. What comes next?

On Wednesday 14 October at 17:00, Tech Transfer and University Valorisation turns the focus to research and the journey towards market.

The session will explore how European funding and projects can support universities and research organisations in moving knowledge and technology towards real-world opportunities.

Funding secured. Now how do you manage everything?

The Summit closes at 17:30 on Wednesday with Taming the Bureaucracy with Software, looking at what happens after funding is secured.

From reporting and finances to deliverables and partner coordination, the conversation will explore how digital tools can make EU project management easier and less complex.

See Kronis in action

The panels are only part of what we have planned.

Ever wondered how Kronis actually works?

Come and see it for yourself.

We will be running live Kronis demos at our stand, showing how our tools can support organisations working with European funding. From finding cascade funding opportunities to managing funded projects and finances. At our stand you will find both.

Have a project but no idea which funding route fits? Come and ask us.

Found a call but are not sure what to do next? Bring it with you.

Already managing an EU project and finding the admin slightly less exciting than the innovation itself? We should probably talk.

And if you want another reason to look out for the Sploro team, on Thursday 15 October at 10:30, our colleague Maja Horvat is currently scheduled to join a panel on mental health in the workplace as part of the wider Startup OLÉ programme.

So, could EU funding be relevant to what you are building?

That is the question we would like people to leave Startup OLÉ asking.

Maybe you already know which call you want to apply for. Maybe you are looking for cascade funding. Maybe you have research with market potential. Or maybe EU funding has never really been on your radar before.

Either way, come and talk to us.

We are looking forward to the conversations, the demos, the Summit and to celebrating five years of Sploro with the people building and innovating across Europe.
